Beautiful and Stylish Metal Roofs Make Good Economic Sense
In these tough economic times we are all looking for a great value.  Although a metal roof costs more up front than an asphalt shingle roof, in the long run, a metal roof is a better value economically.  When installed properly by professionals like Top Notch Roofing and Exteriors, you will probably never have to replace it.

Living on the Gulf Coast, Our Roofs Take a Beating
Whether it's the hot summer sun or damage from high winds, traditional composition roofing just doesn’t stand up to the type of wear and tear that is unavoidable in our area.  Over time, they break down and must be replaced every 10-20 years, if not sooner.  Metal roofs stand up to the harsh elements.

Metal Roofs Save You Money on Your Energy Bills
A light colored metal roof is highly reflective, and reflects away a great deal of the sun’s ultra violet rays.  Your home or commercial building will stay cooler, ensuring that your air conditioner doesn’t have to work so hard.  Installing a metal roof on your house can result in as much as 25-40% savings off of your summer electric bills.

Installing a Metal Roof Qualifies You for Discounts on Insurance
Metal roofs stand up beautifully to hailstorms and wind speeds of up to 140 mph, and they are noncombustible, so they have a Class A fire rating.  If your metal roof is not installed over an existing asphalt roof, and it meets Underwriters Laboratories UL 2218 specifications, you may qualify for up to 35% off of your homeowner’s insurance.

New Stimulus Package Offers a Tax Credit for Installing a Metal Roof
As a part of President Obama’s 2009 Stimulus Package, all Energy Star qualified metal roofs installed in 2009 and 2010 are eligible for a 30% tax credit on the cost of materials, up to $1500.  Installation costs do not qualify for the credit.

Metal Roofs are Environmentally Friendly
Every year 20 billion pounds of asphalt shingles end up in landfills in the U.S. Metal roofing, on the other hand, is made with the highest recycled content and from the most recyclable materials on earth, making them a great choice now and also for future generations.
